About me
Chris is a wildlife toxicologist and habitat restoration specialist who has worked for the US Fish and Wildlife Service in the Utah Field Office since 2002. Her primary areas of work involve investigating contaminant impacts on wildlife in Utah, and developing and implementing plans to clean up and restore wildlife habitats. She is also a project manager for the US Department of Interior's Natural Resource Damage Assessment and Restoration (NRDAR) program, where she works to bring partners together to develop and implement plans to restore natural resources (water, soil, wildlife, etc.) that have been injured by releases of oil or hazardous materials. She also serves on several workgroups related to water quality and the management of the Great Salt Lake and is co-chair of the Jordan River Commission Technical Advisory Committee. Most recently, Chris has been involved in the implementation of the Big Bend nature park in West Jordan Utah, including the development of a Citizen Science-based monitoring program; and in organizing a restoration effort for Silver Creek in Summit County, UT. Away from her desk and off the clock, Chris hikes, skis, runs rivers, builds things, plays music, pulls weeds in her garden and volunteers for a variety of organizations and activities.
