About me
I am a stormwater warrior with an interest in the nexus between stormwater and wastewater. I come from Texas (Denton to be specific, in the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex) and am (now, officially) in love with all things Utah, to include: hiking, canyoneering, camping, kayaking, nordic skiing, snowshoeing, snowboarding, and star-gazing! I'm always interested in clean-up events and stewardship activities in my spare time and in a professional capacity with municipal government (SLC). My education was broad (BS Geography with a Minor in Biology and almost-a-masters-degree in Environmental Science) where understanding and protecting water resources was always my focus and intent. I have a broad understanding with a limited focus but have experience in water quality monitoring, data management, and modeling; also, I hold a CPESC (Certified Professional in Erosion and Sediment Control) certification from EnviroCert International since 2015 (CPESC-IT from 2013-2015) and very interested in soils and ecosystem structures and functions.
